If you are interested in data management and would like to work in an environment focused on guiding and supporting others in managing data, then we have a position available in our Domain Data Architecture team.
As a domain data steward, you will manage and optimise data in your domain, ensuring it aligns with organisational standards. You’ll offer guidance on data handling, support development teams, and serve as the main contact for all data matters within your area - while still working collaboratively with others.
Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing data stewardship across the entire organisation, ensuring that the data governance framework is implemented and followed. You will assist data owners in these areas to govern and manage data assets, prioritising the quality, integrity, and security of information used for analytics and reporting. Furthermore, you act as the champion of the data governance framework throughout BEC, promoting consistent and accurate management of data at all levels.
You will become a member of our team of Domain Data Stewards within BEC’s Enterprise Data Management department. Leveraging your business expertise, you will collaborate closely with information specialists to enhance BEC's information model, supporting both our clients' and internal stakeholders’ structured data utilization. Enterprise Data Management is responsible for overseeing BEC's data processes as a key asset, working in close partnership with business domains.
At BEC, we value in-office teamwork but allow up to 8 remote workdays each month. Your supervisor will be Rasmus Eskild Jensen, Head of Domain Data Architecture.
Primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Support organizational domains and programs in implementing data governance requirements, including data element documentation, information modelling and data modelling.
- Drive activities relating to documentation of data elements, including new triggering, issues and changes.
- Provide directions to domains and programs on how data should be treated and ensure that development is aligned with data governance operational guidelines.
- Contribute to domains and programs capabilities in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of domain-specific datasets, such as customer profiles, credit risk data, or financial transactions.
- Act as the go-to expert for business teams needing support with analytical and operational data.
- Support data stewardship tasks relating to the creation of APIs, events and data products on the new data platform.
- Communicate with key stakeholders on all levels to improve how we work with data on all levels of our organization.
To succeed you will have:
- Interest in working with data with experience earned either through a relevant education or by practical experience.
- A mindset geared towards teamwork, forward-thinking, and a holistic approach.
- Structured and analytic approach to problem solving.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Relevant education on bachelor level
- Good communication and sense making skills to break down complex topics for various audiences.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
