We are searching for a Development manager for Post trade delivery team!

This development manager position can be based in either Roskilde or Warsaw - location will depend on the right candidate. You will become part of the Delivery team within our Post Trade Program, where you will help drive part of our delivery organization ensuring the Programs capabilities to support our roadmap. Here you will be in charge of sourcing, transformation, and creating a high performing team, also supporting BEC’s broader objectives.

The development manager position offers a key leadership position in a high priority and important Program in BEC. Our Program is starting out on a business and technology transformation path, where you will be able to join from the beginning and help shape our Program plan and vision for your team. But you will not be alone, as you will be leading a team of colleagues with heavy domain knowledge and a number of years’ experience in BEC.

Your direct manager will be Head of Post Trade Harmonization Kuno Leerhøy.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Leading and shaping a development team of 10 dedicated software engineers and business analysts in Roskilde and Herning in Denmark and Warsaw in Poland delivering solutions to ensure that BEC comply with regulatory deadlines on the Post Trade Harmonization agenda
  • Setting up and maintaining delivery strategy and team organization to effectively deliver on the team’s backlog in BECs agile delivery model
  • Responsibility for maintenance and operation of systems owned by the team (system ownership), including incident and problem management, system lifecycle management etc.
  • Working closely with product owner, product manager, release trains engineer and domain architect to ensure that BEC delivers on the right things and in the right way
  • Working closely with the development manager team and the Head of to help shape the future of the Post Trade Program
  • This position can be placed in either Roskilde, Denmark or Warsaw, Poland – occasional travel to Warsaw/Roskilde and Herning should be expected

To succeed you will have:

  • Have experience as a manager, team leader, or technical leader, but we are also open to considering you if you have a passion for leadership and people management.
  • Astrong enough technical insight into mainframe, Commercial-off-the-shelf solutions, integrations, and system architecture to collaborate effectively with your team architect in setting a clear modernization agenda.
  • A growth mindset with focus not only on solving problem here and now, but an ability to set an agenda for where you want your team and systems to be in the future
  • A foundational knowledge within agile and IT-development
  • An ability to both serve and challenge your team by setting a vision and removing obstacles to achieving it
  • An ability to find a way through a complex setup while keeping focus on the target
  • A mindset inherently focused on getting things done
  • An ability to work with teams across borders and cultures
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for working in teams in Denmark and Poland.

It’s nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge within Financial Services and especially Wealth Management is an advantage but not a requirement
