Student Analyst, Asset Backed Trading

Do you see patterns in numbers before others do?

At Mind Energy, we believe trading success comes from curiosity, clarity, and action.
As a Student Analyst, you’ll help us build the tools and insights that turn complex data into confident decisions. You’ll be part of Gas Portfolio Management - Customer Trading business that moves fast where your work directly shapes how we understand and act on opportunities in the European gas markets.

Dive into what your day-to-day task will be

You’ll be right at the intersection of data and markets, translating numbers into insights that drive action. Your work will be analytical, hands-on, and essential for ensuring that our trading strategies are grounded in strong data foundations.

Your mission is to:

  • Contribute to automating and improving processes using Python, Excel (including VBA), and SQL
  • Support traders and portfolio managers with timely and reliable data and reporting
  • Develop and maintain tools and dashboards that give transparency into trading positions and risks
  • Systemize data-driven insights into clear, actionable trading signals
  • You’ll work closely with experienced analysts and traders who will challenge and support you as you learn how data powers decision-making in real-time markets

Join a team of mindful achievers

You’ll join a group of ambitious and collaborative professionals who bring structure, insight, and innovation to trading decisions. We’re curious by nature, analytical by choice and motivated by creating value through data and understanding markets.

This is an opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced traders and analysts in the industry and to make a real contribution while you study.

Let’s switch the focus to you

You thrive where structure meets complexity. You’re curious about markets, eager to explore data, and motivated by turning insights into results.

We imagine you bring:

  • A background as a student in computer science, engineering, economics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python and Excel (including VBA)
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • An analytical mindset and a structured, detail-oriented approach to solving problems
  • Curiosity, reliability, and the drive to create value

You don’t need to know everything from day one. What matters most is your mindset, curiosity, responsibility, and a willingness to learn. We’ll empower you to make a difference.

This is a part-time position of approximately 10 hours per week. We understand the demands of your studies, so working hours are flexible, particularly around exams.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and identities to apply, as we believe that a diverse team leads to strong solutions.

Please note that this role requires working from our office location in Copenhagen, Nordhavnen from 1/12-2025.
