Student Assistant – Technical data analytics

Are you a student on bachelor or master level, and are you interested in combining structure and technical knowledge with a focus on contributing to ongoing efforts to improve the R&D process of Everllence B&W engine development? We are currently looking for a student assistant that will play a key role in supporting the data consolidation of component failure reports and guarantee claims, data that is key in the R&D process of designing the engines of the future.

Are you ready to join the team and take part in moving big things to zero?

You will play an important role in:

  • IT related tasks (Excell, Power BI, SharePoint)
  • Consolidate component Failure reports / Claims received by email
  • Support development of smart data collection process
  • Administrative task entering failure data into internal platform
  • Ad hoc assignments

We imagine that you:

  • Are able to dissect large amounts of e-mail based data
  • Have a flair for IT and is able to create smart ways to collect, process and populate data from outlook based emails and see the benefit of having data structured
  • Is able think outside the “box”, and bring forward ideas on ways we can improve
  • Always strive to bring a positive attitude to the tasks at hand

Welcome to Engine support

Grabbing this opportunity, you will be joining a team of 16 highly dedicated colleagues, all part of the ELUM department, where the focus is on the Fuel, hydraulic and mechanical equipment of Everllence B&W engines. Engine support holds an integral position in the engineering and R&D structure, and the department is responsible for reporting learnings from attendances onboard vessels, at engine licensees and other stakeholders, this feedback is essential for further development and improvement to our 2-Stroke engine components.

The department has a culture of team work, and challenging cases are discussed between colleagues, leaning on foundation of collaboration and knowledge sharing. The department comprises of a wide range of generations, giving the team a great dynamic, as well as an experience base for collegial support.
