Intern for Supplier Relations Management
Help us optimize our daily ways of working
Do you seek an exciting and challenging internship for your next semester? And do you wish to gain experience within Retail, as well as being part of a large international company? Then, this is your chance to be part of Supplier Relations Management at Salling Group.
Your day-to-day work will take place at our Headquarters in Aarhus, along with many other passionate and professional colleagues. You will be part of a team of five colleagues that are commercially responsible for all contracts within Salling IT & Digital teams, and working in close contact with the IT Leadership team and teams across the whole organization.
Tasks
As our Intern, you will play an active role in strengthening and optimizing the way we work in IT & Digital Procurement. Your tasks will include:
- Identifying opportunities for automation or AI‑driven improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in our daily tasks, and supporting the setup and implementation of these solutions.
- Supporting the team in optimizing and streamlining our procurement processes, including RFP workflows and internal governance.
- Contributing to analyses of raw‑material and component price developments, providing insights that strengthen negotiation preparation and strategic decision‑making.
- Exploring and applying modern analytical and AI‑driven methods to improve reporting, forecasting, and data‑driven decision‑making across the team.
- Carrying out various ad‑hoc analytical and process‑improvement tasks that help us elevate our ways of working and reduce manual handling.
- If of interest, being introduced to negotiation preparation, supplier analyses, category plans, and budgeting material — and gradually contributing to these deliverables.
Who are you?
You are currently enrolled in a relevant study program such as Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, Innovation & Digitalization, IT‑related studies, or similar.
We imagine that you:
- Have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy working with data, numbers, and structured problem‑solving.
- Are curious about how processes, systems, and data flow together — and motivated to improve and streamline the way things are done.
- Take interest in how modern analytical approaches and AI can support better decision‑making and more efficient workflows.
- Enjoy working with data models, forecasting, or process mapping, and are comfortable diving into complexity to create clarity.
- Work systematically, take initiative, and thrive in an environment where you help others work smarter.
- Are eager to translate your academic toolbox into practical improvements that create real value across our team.
