Head of Operations Support
Would you like to join an international team within the shipping business?
We are looking for a highly motivated Head of Operations Support with a passion for delivering quality service to our customers and build a support function that can take on an increase in demands by being process and data driven. You will lead a function that works closely with all departments and end-users to ensure Weilbach delivers as promised. Further, you will play a vital role in improving operational processes, implement use of operational reporting through BI or the likes. You will a be a part in ensuring proper support and data input to Weilbach’s product management cycle.
Weilbach was founded in 1755 but has undergone a transformation over the past years by growing our digital offerings. Hence, in addition to traditional nautical charts and books, we now focus on developing and selling nautical data and cutting-edge software to the shipping industry globally. In total, we are 55 staff, comprising the HQ in Denmark and subsidiaries in the UK, Singapore, Egypt, and Canada. Further, Weilbach has launched a new growth strategy for 2030
Your main responsibilities will include
- Leading and developing team of 7-8 persons.
- Create an environment for continuous improvement.
- Develop personnel and function to be able to take on higher volume of requests without jeopardizing quality
- Develop and maintain a robust customer service set up and ensure satisfactory contract management and Customer Engagement (24/7 coverage).
- Ensure Operations support function is aligned with R&D department and Commercial
- Overall rresponsible for timely and accurate billing of customers, timely subscription runs without deviations.
- Responsible for governance around new ERP system to ensure proper maintenance and quality of system supported by processes.
- Build operational performance reporting function and establish data driven behaviour. Support Product management cycle.
- Lead continuous improvement: Responsible for ensuring that core processes in Operations Support are improved.
- Set and track KPIs for Operations Support
- Responsible for data quality and operational performance reports (i.e. BI, XLcube, other)
Besides, we offer a position in a company with an informal atmosphere, short decision-making processes, and generally good conditions, i.a. 37.5 hours weekly, incl. lunch break; health insurance; lunch arrangement; media package and opportunities for further education etc. We are located Kgs. Lyngby. You will be working with colleagues across our organization and will have the occasional opportunity to travel to our other offices, or visit commercial ships during their port stay in any country in the world.
We expect that you
- Have leadership experience in an international setting
- Experience with data management and continuous improvement
- Experience in corporate transformation and change leadership
- Has previously worked on management level and know how to navigate a complex internal and external stakeholder environment across multiple levels
- Have maritime industry experience preferably with digitization and use of IT Business systems (ERP)
- Ability to drive projects across the organization
- Speak and write Danish and English fluently.
