DevOps Engineer
Are you passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, reliability, and great developer experience? Unik is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build, operate, and improve the platform foundations that power our modern PropTech solutions. In this role, you’ll work closely with development teams to streamline delivery, strengthen reliability, and ensure that our platform, tooling, and processes support a fast and safe release flow.
About the role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will strengthen our Azure hybrid cloud platform by operating and optimizing Kubernetes workloads, automating resilient cloud infrastructure, and evolving our observability stack with Elasticsearch for search/log analytics and Grafana for metrics, dashboards, and alerting.
You’ll contribute to reliable runtime environments, cluster tooling, logs and metrics, CI/CD pipelines, performance tuning, and secure by default operations across development, test, staging, and production.
You’ll be part of the DevOps/Platform group within the Development department, collaborating across multiple locations in Denmark and Poland while supporting 11 product teams with stable, scalable hybrid cloud services.
Requirements
Must‑have experience:
- Azure cloud & Kubernetes operations: Running and optimizing workloads on Azure—preferably using AKS—including cluster operations, scaling, networking, workload policies, and ensuring day-to-day platform reliability.
- Containers: Solid understanding of Docker and how containerized workloads are built, packaged, and run.
- Observability & logging: Hands on experience with Elasticsearch for logs/search and Grafana for metrics, dashboards, and alerting.
- Runtime reliability & performance: Diagnosing issues using logs, metrics, and traces, ensuring stable environments, and contributing to performance tuning.
- Infrastructure as Code: Practical experience with Terraform (or similar) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, QA, and platform peers across multiple locations in Denmark and Poland.
Nice to have:
- Experience with OpenTelemetry or modern telemetry pipelines supporting logs, metrics, and traces.
- Familiarity with secure by default Kubernetes practices (RBAC, workload identities, secret management patterns).
- Growth mindset: You have a solid foundation in cloud and container technologies and are ready to deepen your overall DevOps expertise
- Awareness of cloud cost optimization and autoscaling strategies.
How we work
We value autonomy with alignment: product teams own their services, while our platform/DevOps team provides standards, tooling, and paved roads. You’ll work in a modern engineering environment with meaningful impact on how we deliver software across the organization. We collaborate openly across teams and disciplines, supported by strong knowledge sharing practices, guilds, and cross-team initiatives. We strive for a pragmatic engineering culture where decisions are guided by data, operational insights, and a shared understanding of impact. We invest in continuous learning, with time set aside to explore new tools, refine skills, and stay current with modern DevOps practices. Curiosity and improvement are part of how we operate; if you see something that can be better, you’re encouraged to help move it forward. We believe in work-life balance: clear expectations, direct and respectful communication, and an environment where asking questions and discussing ideas is always welcome. This is supported by a 3:2 hybrid setup (three days onsite, two remote).
What we offer
- A chance to shape platform capabilities for a complex, best in class PropTech suite
- A collaborative engineering culture with room to influence tooling and practices
- Time and support for professional growth and competency development
- A supportive, international environment
