Data Scientist – Applied AI & Machine Learning
Do you have strong technical data science skills and want to help shape the next generation of AI and automation solutions – end-to-end, from idea to production? Then join our Data Science & BI team and build production-ready solutions.
Take ownership of real solutions
Your work will be closely tied to core business outcomes. You will design, build and operate AI solutions for debt collection and other financial processes – not just prototypes, production-ready systems. You will also work hands-on with LLMs, RAG pipelines and agentic AI workflows to automate and improve processes across the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and operating AI solutions
- Building and maintaining LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures and agent-based workflows
- Developing and improving predictive models (e.g. payment, segmentation, recommendation), including monitoring, retraining and performance tracking
- Translating business needs into data science solutions with clear, measurable impact
- Ensuring compliant data handling (e.g. GDPR), along with documentation, testing and version control
Our tech stack includes:
- Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, FastAPI)
- SQL
- Git, Docker and CI/CD
- Airflow, Linux and WSL
- LLM frameworks (transformers, embeddings, LangGraph, LangChain and agentic workflows)
You will be part of:
A highly skilled and international team, where collaboration and innovation come together in an informal culture. We work closely with the core business to develop data-driven, efficient and transparent solutions. You will help shape the tech stack and methods behind next-generation AI and automation solutions.
We offer a lunch scheme, pension, health insurance and employee benefits, including an in-house hairdresser and masseur, car wash and fitness subscription.
What does your (possibly) future colleague say?
Working at Collectia is an inspiring journey. The focus on passion, innovation, respect and transparency creates an environment where I feel valued and motivated. The inclusive culture supports both personal growth and creativity, and as an international colleague, I’ve experienced a warm welcome and a supportive work-life balance. I’m proud to be part of this company.
Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant educational background in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, computer science, statistics or similar)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science or machine learning, ideally from fintech, finance or another regulated industry
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic or multi-agent systems
- Strong skills in Python and SQL, including typical data science libraries
- Experience with software engineering practices, including Git, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, containerisation (Docker), and API development (e.g. FastAPI)
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure
- Ability to work in a structured and systematic way, with a focus on documentation, quality and operability
You are curious, proactive and self-driven, with a strong eagerness to learn and build the tools needed. At the same time, you bring a business-oriented mindset, focusing on impact, ROI and tangible improvements – not just models. As English is our daily working language, you communicate clearly in English; Danish is an advantage.
