Welcome to Global IT

We are approx. 20 international colleagues based in Japan, Germany, the USA, the Czech Republic, and Denmark, and covering service desk, IT operations, business intelligence, cybersecurity, ERP, and IT project management. You will be our IT project manager as we are still developing this function, but you will have a network of project managers across the organization.

Though you’re the only project manager, you will work closely with the IT organization on implementation and upgrade activities as well as exploratory initiatives. You will also be exposed to the wider business, where application owners are located in functions such as Sales, Operations, and Finance.

The IT department has transformed over the past 1.5 years, becoming even more digitalized and commercialized, focusing on business partnering. Our atmosphere is laid back, and every morning we all meet virtually, and once a year, we meet in person to discuss strategy and spend time together,

Take IT to a higher strategic level through a portfolio of IT projects

In Global IT, our aim is to strengthen internal project management disciplines, anchoring and enhancing project processes internally for future initiatives in line with the company value “continuous improvement”. So, you will be creating value where complexity is high, timing is tight, and compliance is business-critical. In coordination with cyber and legal teams, you will help move Struers’ compliance maturity to new standards.

This means you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering IT projects approved within our IT PMO in accordance with agreed scope, timeline, budget, and governance requirements. And you will be the central coordination point between business stakeholders, IT functions, and external partners, without owning solution design or operational delivery.

As part of the governance setup for the IT PMO, we meet with Struers Corporate Management on the first Tuesday of every month to align on the portfolio of IT initiatives as well as other relevant digital topics.

Managing the projects end-to-end, you will:

• Facilitate project governance activities, including project meetings, steering committees, decision logs, and documentation.
• Ensure structured communication and reporting to stakeholders and Corporate Management regarding status, risks, financials, and deviations.
• Align and coordinate internal IT resources and external vendors to secure delivery of project objectives.
• Support structured project closure, including handover to Operations and contribution to benefit realization tracking.
• Potentially help drive execution of post-merger/acquisition activities if these take place, as well as AI initiatives where project management is required due to complexity, scope, and adoption.

Project manager with an understanding of IT architecture and integrations

This role is technical in nature, so we imagine that you:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Possess a basic understanding of IT architecture and integrations, preferably across platforms, allowing you to participate in technical dialogue.
• Have some years of experience managing IT or digital projects in a structured project environment.
• Have proven experience with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Planner, Excel).
• Have a strong understanding of IT governance, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• May hold a project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).

I’m looking for someone who is curious, outgoing, and contributes ideas that help shape solutions. Solutions are not dictated from above – so you should enjoy contributing in a collaborative way. You cannot succeed in this role based on technical knowledge alone. We need someone who also wants to further build this project management function
