Take charge of our UNIX environment

As our new Senior IT UNIX Specialist, you help maintain the stability of our IT Core infrastructure More specifically, you oversee and enhance our UNIX environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and seamless integration with other technologies, specifically our Ansible Automation Platform.
You can therefore look forward to handling various tasks as you analyse system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategic tuning solutions.

To be more specific, your key tasks include:

  • Ensuring that the UNIX systems meet security standards, mitigate risks and protect sensitive data
  • Ensuring that the UNIX infrastructure can accommodate growth and changing demands through planning
  • Making regular improvements to ensure that UNIX systems operate efficiently and meet business demands
  • Resolving critical UNIX-related incidents
  • Conducting knowledge-sharing sessions with team members
  • Maintaining the accuracy of UNIX system documentation
  • Automating manual tasks through Ansible Automation Platform

Experienced IT professional who can optimize AIX server performance

Your flair for troubleshooting enables you to efficiently diagnose and resolve complex issues – and you combine this with your solid communication and collaboration skills when you interact with team members, stakeholders, and management.
Also, you are committed to continuous learning, always staying abreast of the latest technologies and trends in IBM Power Systems, AIX, and RedHat environments.

We also imagine that you:

  • Have experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Power/AIX environments, including HMC, SVC, VIO & AIX Performance tuning
  • Have experience with system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of AIX servers
  • Know RedHat Enterprise architecture e.g. Ansible Automation Platform, Satellite etc.
  • Are proficient in Ansible, Shell, Python
  • Are familiar with high availability solutions like PowerHA (HACMP) and experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery plans
