Software developer and scrum master

We are looking for a passionate Software Developer who thrives in an agile environment. If you love to blend your coding skills with Scrum methodologies, this role is tailor-made for you!

Here’s what the job entails

Your primary role will be to develop and integrate components in our system landscape. You will design systems that collect, manage and present data pre, during and post trading with an amazing user experience.

Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:

  • acting as the scrum master for a team of eight people
  • developing and implementing solutions for our system landscape in close collaboration with the end user
  • working within an engaging and complex domain
  • facilitating “scrum days,”, ceremonies, meetings and workshops

Meet the team

In Danske Commodities, over 60 motivated software developers are employed. You will join a team of eight passionate developers with interests ranging from bike building to coffee-making. We are a social, dedicated and curious bunch that believes it should be fun to go to work while solving exciting challenges.

The primary goal of the team is to develop and maintain systems used by the traders trading operators to be as effective as possible. Our development philosophy is to design robust, scalable systems that are reliable.

"You will be able to shape the way we work in tight collaboration directly with the end users. For that reason, you will have a unique opportunity to follow an idea all the way to running in production." - Henrik Skaarup, Head of Software Development.

But enough about us… over to you!

We are looking for a team player who loves diving into detail and takes a scientific approach. As our team handles a range of tasks, it is important that you can jump in wherever you can add value and lead the way if you have got a great idea.

We also imagine that you:

  • have a relevant educational background within Computer Science or similar
  • have a minimum of 5 years’ experience from a similar position working with agile software development
  • are proficient within either .NET, Java or similar
  • have a holistic approach to system design

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
