The role of the IT Systems Engineer & Infrastructure Architect will be to keep the current IT infrastructure platform up to date and well driven, while also ensuring the future expansion of the platform to public cloud, and the expansion to branch offices around the world. The role also includes, with the Cloud Architects, taking ownership of the overall hybrid IT architecture and the development thereof. The role keeps a great deal of responsibility for ensuring knowledge sharing in team, and to ensure a basic level of infrastructure architecture.

The team and platform

You will join a social, curious, and motivated team consisting of people with various backgrounds and cultures. The team works with the advanced and modern Hybrid IT infrastructure in DC and the primary area of responsibility is within the maintenance and continuous development of the core infrastructure and public platform for the Line of Business applications. The platform components consist of, amongst others, components like Hitachi All Flash and HPE storage systems (1+ PB storage), Cisco network infrastructure, Microsoft Security Stack, the Atlassian product portfolio, Redhat Openshift, Hyper-V and Redhat Virtualization, Kubernetes, Windows, and Linux operating systems (800 VMs).

Responsibilities

• Play an important part in designing, developing, hosting, and maintaining the existing and future IT infrastructure platforms
• Proactive seek to enhance the IT infrastructure systems and platforms
• Play an important part in the daily operational work in monitoring and resolving incidents in the IT infrastructure
• Keep colleges informed and educated on his/her areas of responsibilities – share knowledge

Your qualifications

• You hold a relevant educational background in IT infrastructure architecture and operations
• You have a strong experience in designing and architecting enterprise infrastructure and/or cloud platforms
• Ideally you have experience with hosting and operation across various IT platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, VMWare and/or Kubernetes
• Ideally you have experience in working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Azure DevOps, Repositories and pipelines
• You are fluent in English – both written and verbal
