Senior Manager, Software Asset Ma­na­ge­ment


In DSV Global IT, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Software Asset Management department as Senior Manager. This is a key leadership role that offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our IT organisation through effective contract management, financial oversight, and strategic leadership in the IT domain.

Solid leadership skills and focus on standardisation

The Software Asset Management department is responsible for IT software asset management and consultant management. It is a position with a great deal of responsibility and a broad network of working relations within the IT executive management team, business owners, and procurement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the Software Asset Management department.
  • Ensuring an efficient IT asset management process; identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT contracts.
  • Evaluating vendor performance and drive continuous improvements.
  • Supporting stakeholders and ensuring continuous follow-up and reporting.
  • Developing and managing budgets for IT collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organisational goals and standards.

It is your success criteria as Senior Manager, Software Asset Management to standardise and implement an updated and data-driven IT asset management process, ensure a valuable IT asset management lifecycle with control of our engagement with vendors (right contracts with right scope and timing) and to lead and develop the team to continued high engagement and performance.

The team consists of a total of 15 highly skilled individuals consisting of managers, license managers and IT specialists located in Denmark and Poland. Your location will be at our headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark, and therefore you should expect travels to Warsaw from time to time.

IT asset management experience from a large organisation

The ideal candidate has solid experience with IT asset management from a large organisation including experience with contract, financial, and project management. You have experience in negotiating and managing complex IT contracts with vendors and service providers, and a strong financial acumen, budgeting skills, and the ability to analyse financial data.

Additionally, you are:

  • An experienced leader with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, focusing on leading with empathy, adaptability, and a strategic mindset to ensure team success and contribution.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An experienced negotiator who is able to secure favorable terms and conditions in contracts with vendors.
  • Proactive, results oriented and promote a data-driven and structured approach.
