Here’s your chance to join the MapsPeople family and help shape our compliance practices going forward! In MapsPeople we care deeply about data protection, and to make sure that we are and stay compliant with rules and regulation we need an extra pair of hands to help us in our efforts.

As our new Compliance Student Worker you will be part of the compliance team and have reference to our CIO. Your tasks will be:

• Assist in improving and keeping our records up to date.
• Assist in audits and controls of processors with whom we have data processing agreements.
• Assist in and improve internal reviews and controls of procedures, processes, policies and data processing agreements.
• Assist in and improve risk assessments, data processing impact assessments and transfer impact assessments.
• Assist in improving our way of training employees.

Your profile

You are studying to be in the legal field (cand.jur or cand.merc.jur). Preferably, you have a couple of years left before graduating. You possess a natural flair for best practice identification within the GDPR field and working with data protection and compliance in general motivates you. Natural flair for best practices in other domains of compliance is a plus. Other than that, you are:

• Highly detail oriented, and take pride in doing things correctly
• A self starter
• Fluent in spoken and written English

On a personal level you are a team player and want to start your career working in the tech industry. If you also enjoy the occasional game of foosball or table tennis you will be a perfect match!

This position is located in our headquarters in Aalborg where our office space has a beautiful first row view of the Limfjord. Between the desks, lots of leafy green plants, and modern and creative decor you will find great activities such as foosball or table tennis for when you need a break. When your batteries need recharging you can grab yourself a soda, snacks or coffee/tea all day long.
