Business analyst (Senior)- Core Banking

The role offers a unique opportunity to join a fresh team in charge of building a new and modern liquidity management solution for a strategically important initiative in BEC.

This position is based at our friendly office in Roskilde, Denmark and you will join our Business Banking domain. The project will be delivered in close collaboration with other domains in BEC and you will especially be working closely with the Core Banking domain. The team is co-located in Warsaw, Poland and Roskilde, Denmark, so occasional trips to Poland to meet the team and plan activities may be part of the role.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also have the flexibility to work remotely.

Your direct manager will be Mathias Møller Hansen.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

• Business ambassador: Working closely with the Product owner and acting as an ambassador for business towards the development team.
• Processing business requirements: Transferring business requirements into understandable information for the team, ensuring team deliverables meet the desired value.
• Managing customer expectations: Ensures continuous alignment of expectations between customer needs/problems and possible solutions.
• Solution refinement: Driving the solution refinement of features in close collaboration with the development team and domain/team architect- translating functional and non-functional requirements into actionable user stories and contributing to planning and estimation processes.
• Contributing to relevant documentation: Such as user guides, business cases, operational information, etc.
• Solution implementation: Acting as the primary point of contact for driving the implementation of solutions targeted at specific groups, including providing comprehensive implementation support based on BEC’s implementation concept and delivering user education.

To succeed you will have:

• Several years of proven experience as a Business analyst within the financial or banking industry, working on complex, technically challenging projects.
• Experience with liquidity management solutions would be a strong advantage; however, a willingness to deepen your knowledge and build expertise in this area is essential. In this role, you will act as the lead Business analyst for the initiative, collaborating closely with the Core Banking domain as a subject matter expert.
• Ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders, balancing business needs with technical feasibility.
• Able to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams, participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Proactive and critical thinking, identifying limitations and obstacles, and proactively suggesting viable alternatives.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Being a true team player by supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, taking responsibility for common goals, and actively participating in team activities.
• Fluency in English is required (as the team is based in both Poland and Denmark), and Danish is highly preferred to enable smooth communication with Danish customers and foster effective collaboration.
