Head of Digital Solutions
Do you want to help shape the future of cleaner maritime transport by bringing impactful digital solutions to life? We are looking for a people-focused digital leader to build, develop, and lead our Digital Solutions capability supporting both 2-stroke Engineering and R&D organizations. As Head of Digital Solutions, you will lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team, drive strategic digital initiatives, and play a key role in enabling internal efficiency, automation, and compliance through modern digital tools and platforms.
As Head of Digital Solutions, you will be a member of the Operational Excellence and Technical Compliance management team, responsible for shaping and developing a newly established digital department supporting Engineering and R&D operations. You will drive the department's strategic direction, deliver business value through digitalization, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will ensure that digital solutions support business objectives while enabling efficient, scalable, and compliant ways of working.
You will play an important role in:
- Leading, developing, and inspiring a multidisciplinary digital team
- Defining and executing the Digital Solutions roadmap in alignment with business
- Driving strategic internal digital initiatives across Engineering and R&D
- Managing a portfolio of digital solutions, balancing innovation, stability, and scalability
- Ensuring agile delivery and high adoption of fit-for-purpose digital solutions
- Embedding compliance-by-design principles into digital development
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across Engineering, R&D, PrimeServ, IT, Group Digital, Architecture, and governance functions
We imagine that you:
- Hold a Master’s degree in IT, Digital Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Have 10+ years of experience in digital product or project delivery, including 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams
- Have a proven track record in delivering business value through data‑driven and AI‑enabled solutions. Experience leading cross-functional AI strategy and execution is a plus
- Understand enterprise architecture, integrations, and digital platforms
- Have experience across the full application lifecycle and Agile delivery practices
- Thrive in complex environments and bring structure, clarity, and collaboration to your work
- Are motivated by developing people, building capabilities, and creating lasting business impact through digitalization
About the team
Operational Excellence and Technical Compliance is a transversal function supporting Engineering and R&D. Within Operational Excellence and Technical Compliance, the Digital Solutions department focuses on enabling efficient execution, compliance by design, automation, and modern ways of working through AI solutions, digital tools, and platforms. The department consists of eight specialists covering AI and data-driven solutions, PLM portfolio management, systems engineering, software development, and low-code solutions. Together, the team drives a portfolio of internal digital applications and automation solutions delivered using Agile principles.
